Boeing’s 737 Max problems has put $600 billion in orders at risk

Boeing Co.’s over $600 billion order book for its 737 Max aircraft is under threat after several global airlines are reportedly reconsidering their purchases following the Ethiopian Airlines crash, the second deadly accident involving the aircraft since October. VietJet Aviation JSC, which doubled its order to about $25 billion only last month, has put on hold its plans till the cause of the tragedy is identified. Kenya Airways Plc is reviewing proposals to buy the Max and could switch to Airbus SE’s rival A320. Russia’s Utair Aviation PJSC is seeking guarantees before taking delivery of the first of 30 planes.
